Abarth 500e – the first full-electric model in Abarth history

Zagame Fiat is excited to introduce the Abarth 500e – the first full-electric model in Abarth history.

The very first public showing of the car in Australia is at the 2023 Melbourne EV Show.

Combining performance, electric power, style and a new exciting sound, the Abarth 500e turns advanced technology into adrenaline and sustainability into performance.

The Abarth 500e is the most responsive, exciting and Abarth in urban driving and the fastest and most enjoyable in suburban driving. The electric architecture performs better than petrol thanks to an improved weight distribution, better torque and a wider wheelbase. It is one second faster in the urban pickup, which means 50% faster acceleration from 20 to 40 km/h than its petrol-powered counterpart.

Equipped with a 42-kWh battery coupled with a powerful e-motor, it combines the performance of the Scorpion with the innovation of electric mobility.

Outside of city driving, on hairpin bends, from 40 to 60 km/h it can reach the target speed in just 1.5 seconds—much faster than its petrol version, which lags behind by 15 meters, reaching 60 km/h a second later. On the open road, it performs overtaking maneuvers faster than its petrol version, reaching a speed of 100 km/h (starting from 60km/h) when its petrol counterpart is still driving at 91 km/h, with a difference of approximately one second.

Three exclusive driving modes are available which focus on performance – Turismo, Scorpion Street and Scorpion Track – giving customers total freedom to fully enhance the sporty set-up and unleash the power of their Abarth in every challenge on the road.

With a battery range up to 252km, and a supporting fast charging of up to 85kw in direct current (DC), the Abarth 500e ensures plenty of driving excitement. It takes less than 5 minutes to build up sufficient energy reserve for daily mileage requirements (around 40 km) and the fast charge reaches 80% of the range in only 35 minutes.

Abarth’s signature and unmistakable “roar” can be heard thanks to the Abarth Sound Generator that accompanies every trip with the 500e. This standard feature on the model highlights the vehicle’s performance, reproducing the sound of an Abarth petrol engine inspired by the famous Record Monza exhaust.

Abarth 500e debuts two distinct all new exterior colors to the Abarth line-up: Acid Green & Poison Blue. The eye-catching exterior is enriched with dedicated 18” diamond-cut titanium grey alloy wheels which bring the driver closer to the road with their holding performance and aggressive and sharp design.

Inside, sportiness and style find their fullest expression with its premium Alcantara interior, a racing material that provides a dark sporty look and fine touch feeling. The unique sport seats with integrated headrest bring the Acid-Green Scorpion – lasered on the Alcantara – inside the cabin and the Acid Green & Poison Blue double stitching provide visual continuity from the seats to the door panels.

The Abarth 500e launches into its new era with an updated touchscreen infotainment system, with a 10.25” tablet combined with a 7” TFT full digital cluster which provides intuitive information with a seamless experience. Paired with premium JBL audio, the driver is completely immersed into the driving experience.

The Abarth 500e will launch in Australia with the exclusive limited edition Scorpionissima. Only 1,949 units will be produced worldwide, with the number of units reflecting the year the Abarth brand was founded.

Scorpionissima customers can rest assured they will stand out from the crowd, available exclusively in Acid Green or Poison Blue with unique ‘Abarth’ decals applied to the side profile of the vehicle (Acid Green paired with black “Abarth” decals, and Poison Blue paired with white “Abarth” decals). These units will be the first ones to arrive in the country, expected later this year.

Following Scorpionissima, Abarth 500e will be available in a Turismo, offering great performance, unique style and the original Abarth sound. Customers can choose among five thrilling colors: Antidote White, Venom Black, Adrenaline Red, plus the brand-new Acid Green and Poison Blue, which make the Abarth 500e stand out from the crowd.

Zagame Alfa Romeo presents the all-new Tonale Hybrid, the model that marks a new era of connectivity and electrification, while remaining true to Alfa’s Italian sportiness.

Named after one of Italy’s highest mountain passes, the Tonale Hybrid encapsulates the organic curvatures, bends and lines found in nature. Signature features like the V Scudetto Grille and available 20-inch five-hole wheels, echo the classic tenets of Alfa Romeo design.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid is available in two trims – Ti and Veloce – and soon the line-up will be joined by the Tonale Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV), launching late 2023.

Featuring a 1.5L 4-cylinder, petrol engine coupled with 7-speed dual clutch transmission and a 48V battery, the Tonale Hybrid is a Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle capable of producing 118kW at 5750rpm and 240Nm at 1500rpm.

The Variable Geometry Turbocharger, a unique offering in the segment, enabling the Tonale Hybrid to offer diesel-like fuel-economy of 5.6L/100km, with petrol performance while managing to meet stringent emissions regulations.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid has class-exclusive capabilities of travelling under EV conditions at low speed and while parking (<15 km/h) and utilising the 48V battery to assist the vehicle with performance. It is capable of silent starts due to the 15kW electric motor and an energy recovery to the 48V 0.8kWh battery during periods of decelerating and braking.

The interior of Tonale Hybrid has been inspired by the successful racing history of Alfa Romeo and promotes passion and drive ability, courtesy of its dynamic and powerful forms. Sporty sophistication is apparent from every vantage point with the Alcantara® seats, leatherette finishes and tech components like the new Cannocchiale Digital Display. The 12.3-Inch TFT instrument cluster and 10.25-Inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, provide the driver access to ample amounts of information.

Fully equipped with an array of advanced driver assist systems and security features that assist the driver by enhancing their field of vision, making instrumentation easier to see and enabling collision-avoidance capabilities. A 360° Surround View Camera is available with four cameras providing a full view of the vehicle and its surrounds.

The ‘3+3’ headlights, with new full-LED adaptive matrix were developed in conjunction with Marelli, make up a unique frontline for the car and simultaneously provide daylight, dynamic turn signals and a ‘welcome and goodbye’ feature (activated when the driver turns the car on or off).

The unique Brake-by-Wire technology, guarantees a strong pedal feel, immediate response and added safety benefits. Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) improve the handling of Tonale Hybrid while retaining a comfortable ride. Koni® is Alfa Romeo’s historical technological partner and has developed the FSD shock absorber for Tonale. FSDs are able to change the level of hydraulic shock damping via an additional frequency sensitive valve to compensate road surface inputs.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid redefines the segment with class-leading steering feel and engagement with its 13.6 steering ratio.

EuroNCAP have published a 5-star safety rating for the Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid and will be tested by ANCAP in late 2022.

Zagame Fiat is pleased to introduce the Fiat 500e – the first full-electric model in Fiat history and 100% designed, engineered and manufactured in Turin, Italy.

Totally new but unmistakably Fiat 500, the Fiat 500e is a clear evolution of the original 1957 Fiat 500, incorporating quintessential design cues and pairing them with an extraordinary electric experience.

Head-turning Italian design, fun-to-drive features and new safety inclusions have made the new Fiat 500e the most awarded Fiat model in history with the vehicle achieving 39 awards since it’s European launch, notably Best Small Electric Car for the city by What Car? Best Small Car and Car of the Year at the Electrifying Awards, and Best Car at the Marie Claire Sustainability Awards.

The Fiat 500e is one of the most environmentally friendly cars on the market, scoring a maximum five-star rating from the Green New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) and it was the first vehicle in history to achieve a maximum score of 10/10 in Energy Efficiency Index.

The Fiat 500e is equipped with a front-mounted electric motor outputting 87kW and has a peak torque output of 220Nm, enough to push the new 500 from 0-100km/h in 9.0 seconds and supports three charging modes. A DC fast charging rate of 85kW is offered as standard with a 0-80% charge capable in 35 minutes.

Fully equipped with an array of features the Fiat 500e offers a driving ease in the urban environment and includes an all-new braking system, Adaptive Cruise Control (iACC), Lane Centring (LC), rear-view parking camera and blind spot monitor.

The full EV nature of the new Fiat 500e is clearly identified by the logo on the liftgate, carrying also a distinctive light blue accent colour. The new 500 logo has been designed to introduce the “e” into the well-known 500 logo. The same logo is also visible in the side at the back end of the daylight opening moulding.

The inside of the Fiat 500e has been just as thoughtfully designed as it’s outside with great focus on the quality of fit and finish. Occupants will immediately recognise a contemporary interpretation of the timeless style reflected by some unique design cues, including the classic Fiat dashboard insert, the two-spoke steering wheel and the rounded cluster make a clear connection with the 1957 original 500

An unmistakable 500 glass roof comes standard with the Fiat 500e and fills the interior with light, creating a bright and welcoming ambiance. The vehicle is also equipped with a retractile curtain, in order to share the interior ambient when the sunrays are too intrusive.

Bridging the new era is a touchscreen infotainment system, with a 10.25” tablet combined with a 7” TFT full digital cluster which provides intuitive information with a seamless experience. The huge 10.25” tablet becomes the unsurpassed protagonist of the dashboard area. Paying homage to the birthplace of the Fiat 500e the new wireless charging pad, conveniently positioned under the 10.25” infotainment system, features the Turin skyline.
